Advocacy Support - Assisting clients to appointments, help with filling forms in, home visits, drop in sessions.

One to one support - Supporting and advising clients, carers and families to overcome barriers of sight loss.

Carers support - Advocacy and Sign posting to other service providers.

Benefit Information - Providing useful information and assistance in filling in forms.

Leisure & Social Group - Opportunity to socialize with other visually impaired members and take part in group activities, such as trips and visits to parks and museums.

Reading Group - Access to education, training and news (newspapers & magazines) provided by various volunteers and staff for visually impaired people.

Training/work - Special education and training establishments cater to the needs of blind and partially sighted individuals.

Health & Wellbeing programme - Encouraging clients to improve health and wellbeing through exercise classes, walking and alternative therapies.




Specialist Equipment - Helping clients to access specialist equipment. We have access to a Digital voice recorder, JAWS 8 software and Guide which are programmes tailored to help with technology.


Drop in sessions - Help with filling in forms, benefit information held every Tuesday 12:30 - 14:30 at the Hamara Healthy Living Centre, Tempest Road, Beeston, LS11 6SD and every Thursday 12:30 - 14:30 at Mary Sunley House, Banstead Street West, LS8 5RU.
